CARVER NAMED ASSISTANT VICE CHANCELLOR FOR
DEVELOPMENT
MARTIN,
Tenn. – Keith Carver of Knoxville has joined the
Office of University Advancement at the
University of Tennessee at Martin as assistant
vice chancellor for development. He began his
new duties March 6.
Carver served as the UT Knoxville College of Law
director of development from 2001-06. In his new
position at UT Martin, he will assist with
campaign administration, major gift
solicitations and constituent-based
fund-raising.
“Keith is well respected by his peers in alumni
and development and will be a great addition to
our university advancement team,” said Len
Solomons, UT Martin vice chancellor for
university advancement. “He is a person of high
integrity and energy. I know that Keith and his
family will be a valuable asset to the Martin
community and the university.”
Carver has a bachelor of arts degree in
sociology from University of Memphis, a master’s
degree in college student personnel and
educational leadership from UTK and is working
on his dissertation for a doctorate in
educational administration and cultural studies
from UTK.
Carver has served as president of the Tennessee
Advancement Resources Council, as a faculty
member in the University of Tennessee
Professional Development Program and a presenter
for the Council for Advancement and Support of
Education (CASE). He and his wife, Hollianne,
are originally from West Tennessee and have
three children: Carson, age 7; Jack Thomas, age
3 1/2; and Britton, 6 months.
"My family and I are looking forward to
returning to West Tennessee and becoming a part
of the University of Tennessee at Martin campus
community,” said Carver. “It is obvious to us
that Martin is a special place. I am certainly
excited about working with the development
effort."
